Having had it’s inaugural running in 1942, this Sunday’s Trader’s Cup race marks the 75th anniversary of that first event. As part of their race program, hosts Cuchulainn CC are once again including a stand-alone women’s race in the Trader’s Cup race line-up on Sunday 21st February 2016.
As a season-opening event for women, we are delighted to help promote this race which, given its predominantly flat route, and it’s short length, is suitable for those riders who are keen to try open racing, as well as to more experienced racers eager to test their post-Winter legs.
If added incentive were needed to take the race bike out of the attic for Sunday, Trader’s Cup race day will fall just four weeks before the Joe Daly Cycles sponsored Women’s National League 2016 is due to start.
Race Starts at 10am.
Circuit is out and back, a distance of 40km, with no major climbs.
This is the same circuit used for this race for the last 3 years.
