Omagh Wheelers, Cycling Ireland Club of the Year in 2013, are gearing up for the 2016 Spar Tour of Omagh stage race, which will take place over the weekend of 5th – 7th August, in and around Omagh, County Tyrone.

While the men’s Tour of Omagh stage race is confined to those with an A4 licence only, the separate women’s event is open to all CI open racing licence holders, from A4 to A1.

Coming, as it does, just one month beforehand, the Tour of Omagh women’s stage race stands out as ideal preparation for this year’s An Post Rás na mBan. In that regard, Cycling Ulster have entered a strong team, including last year’s Tour of Ulster winner, Eileen Burns of Ballymena CC.

The Tour of Omagh Women’s Stage Race is open to both individual riders and to club teams. Teams must have a minimum of 3, and a maximum of 5 riders signing on. Composite teams are also permitted, please notify the Race Organiser (details below) if you are entering a composite team.
