Taggart Takes The Win / Neenan Holds The Jersey

Nikki Taggart (Arcane Women’s Team) left it late to win Stage 2 of the women’s Intermediate League in Greenmount on Sunday (Aug 16th). Taggart took the win ahead of Ella Doherty from the host club Greenmount Cycling Academy (Click Here For A Rider Race Report From Ella Doherty:)

Taggart’s Win pushed her up to 2nd place overall, but Stage 1 Winner Jennifer Neenan (VIB Natural Greatness) held on to the Women’s Commission Leaders Jersey, and the revised Women’s Intermediate League trophy could now be decided by these two going into the final event on Saturday 19th September – Mick Lawless Memorial (St. Tiernan’s CC).

With both riders having taken a win each, Neenan is on a possible bonus point, however Taggart will feel confident of closing the gap with her Arcane Women’s Team placing three riders in the prizes on Sunday.

Junior Riders Caoimhe May (Quanta-Scott Orwell) and Ella Doherty (Greenmount Cycling Academy) sit only a single point behind Taggart , and a win for either could see them lift the Trophy
