In recent years Slaney CC’s Eddie Tobin Memorial has become a familiar event on our National League itinerary, and it previously featured on the Women’s Classic League program, which is some reflection of the popularity of the race with riders.
This 12th edition of the Eddie Tobin Memorial race is Round 7, the penultimate bout, of the Joe Daly Cycles sponsored Women’s National League, and it takes place on Sunday 3rd July in Bunclody, Co. Wexford.
She who dares, wins…
Looking back on results from the last few editions it seems that victory in the Eddie Tobin race is most likely to be taken by a solo attack, and generally in a fairly emphatic fashion.
The Eddie Tobin Memorial race is run on good quality rolling roads. The circuit includes some fast sweeping descents, and it’s one significant climb is that up to the Start/Finish line.
This is the same circuit which Slaney CC have used for their Eddie Tobin Memorial race for the last 3 years.
