Some annual charity cycles that take place:


The Cycle takes place in May and it is open to both men and women over 18. The sponsorship rate for an individual cyclist is €450 and we have different options for participants, with
Team Rates and the Bring a Friend for €70 offer. The 70km is from Dublin to Arklow.

Women’s Aid is a voluntary organisation that provides support and information to women
and their children who are being physically, emotionally and sexually
abused in their own homes.

In May 2009 Croi, the West of Ireland Cardiology hosts the annual Lough Corrib Cycle.  This event which has been growing steadily every year includes a 75mile and 29mile route.  Last year there were over 500 participants.  The Event is organised by a very experienced team of event managers and supported by the local business community and emergency services.  Facilities include registration, excellent refreshments on route, showers and transport.  This is one of their biggest fund raising events and a great day out for all our participants.  Australia Cycle for Irish Charity, Fighting Blindness

This is a great opportunity for you to take on an exciting challenge in Melbourne, Australia in October. While supporting the Irish Charity, FIGHTING BLINDNESS, this promises to be the trip of a lifetime, giving you opportunities to see famous landmarks like the Sydney Opera House.  Paralympic Cycling Ireland will also benefit from the event and will receive a financial contribution towards the development of the Irish Team for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.

Muscular Dystrophy Ireland are organising this event in August to raise crucial funds for various respite support services provided to 510 families and individuals affected by MD.  The cycle starts at 10.30am

The cycle will bring you through the beautiful Shannon region and will be approximately 80 miles long. Refreshment and food will be provided along the route.
Starting point will be the Two Mile Gate (three miles outside of Killaloe) and the cycle will finish here also.
To register you can either pay a registration fee of €75 or alternatively take a sponsorship card to raise money for MDI.
All money raised from the event will be used to fund the respite support services MDI provide to 510 individuals and families affected by MD nationwide.
