Well known and much respected cyclist Lauren Gourlay, in her final year studying for her BSc in Sports Coaching and Performance, has started an interesting blog for Peak Endurance Coaching‘s website which should appeal to our readers.

In her still blossoming cycling career Lauren Gourlay, Castlebar CC, has represented Ireland both at Ras na mBan and at European level as a rider.

Lauren has also managed Irish Junior teams both at home and abroad… last Summer she and Margaret Donnelly managed the Junior Team at the Hemico GP in Belgium.

In addition to her third-level studies, Lauren has also followed the coaching program provided by Cycling Ireland and is a qualified Level 1 Cycling Coach.

Now in the third and final year of her Coaching BSc at Waterford Institute of Technology Lauren is currently enjoying a fascinating internship at the UCI World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland.

With her blog on renowned coach Paddy Doran’s professional website, Lauren Gourlay plans to cover a variety of topics which she hopes will aid both novice and improving cyclists in their pursuit of enjoyment and success on the racing scene.
