Dungarvan CC hosted a Women’s Commission training day on Saturday (Oct 6th) with the event proving to be a big success .
Pauline Russell (Women’s Commission) worked closely with Darren Tutty of the host club inviting all female cyclists of all ages and abilities to attend,
Over 50 Riders left the Park Hotel to take in a spin covering Dungarvan, the world Unesco Global Geopark known as the Copper Coast and the famous The Déise Greenway , with breath-taking views of Dungarvan Bay and the Comeragh Mountains .
The excellent weather and beautiful scenery had the riders in good spirits as they stopped for coffee at the Coach House near Kilmacthomas .
The groups were split on age and ability , and they all arrived safely back to the Park Hotel for Lunch at 2pm.
The day finished with a very informative Talk and Q&A with Brendan Whelan (Women’s Commission) and very special guest Martyn Irvine.
We would like to thank Dungarvan CC for hosting a magnificent event .
