Girls Summer Training Camp, Wicklow, 27th-30th June,

Summer Training Camp
Summer Training Camp poster, by Claire McEntee

The next Women’s Commission training camp for girls (aged 13-23 years) will be held at the end of this month in Kippure, Co. Wicklow. And with limited places available, it is essential that all those wishing to attend book their place as soon as possible.

  • To book your place please fill in this form and submit it before the closing date of 23rd June.

The Adventure Centre at Kippure will once again be HQ for this Summer Training Camp and we’ll be spending three nights there, but happily the plan this time is to have most of the catering done by the on-site chefs… so no dubiously self-prepared spag bol this year!

Cycling Ireland coach Orla Hendron, who is organising the camp, is even hinting that there’ll be a BBQ one of the nights… so don’t forget the marshmallows 😉

The essential details of the training camp are provided on the poster above, for any further information email Orla at:

The €150 cost of the camp includes 3 nights full board accommodation, all the coaching provided over the 4 days of the camp, and all the biking activities that will be undertaken.

Attendees at last Summer's training camp prepare to go mountainbiking!

Biking activities will include two road spins, use of the closed circuit at Corkagh Park, mountain biking at Ballinastoe, and track cycling at Sundrive Velodrome.
