Interested in trying Cyclocross? Already racing but looking to improve your skills? The Women’s Commission are organizing a training day to encourage more women to get involved in cyclocross, and improve their skills.
Irish National Cyclocross Champion Beth McCluskey and cyclocross coach Andy Layte will be on hand on Saturday the 18th of November 2017 at the National Sports Campus to teach you skills and tips to improve your cyclocross technique.
Who is the training for?
Both first-time cyclocrossers and experienced racers are welcome at the training day. Experienced cyclocrossers will gain race tips and advanced skills, and first time cyclocrossers will be given the basic skills needed to take part in cyclocross racing. All types of cyclists are encouraged to come along including mountain bikers, BMXers, road cyclists, and leisure cyclists.
What technical skills do I need?
The training will be split up depending on experience. All riders at any skill level are welcome. The aim of the training is to equip you with skills to improve your riding at whatever level you feel you are at.
What do I need to bring with me?
Cyclocross and mountain bikes are welcome at the training day. Don’t forget your helmet, rain jacket, and gloves.
Where is it?
The training day will be held at the National Sports Campus in Dublin just off the M50. Take a look at this map for directions.
What time is it on at?
The session starts at 11am and will finish at 1pm.
