The second trip to Alkmaar, organised by the Women’s Commission, takes place this weekend. This is the second trip this winter – the December trip was a huge success, serving as in introduction to track cycling for the riders.

Revolution 23 Report from Sarah Franzoni

Last weekend three Irish girls were invited to race in the Revolution in Manchester. This is a highly popular track event in track racing, and the three were well equipped against their competitors, and learnt a lot from the experience. With more focus being placed on the track it would be great to see a squad of Irish girls racing in next year’s series. Read on for Sarah’s report.

National Track Championships

The National Track Championships took place this weekend on Sundrive Road. Ireland’s top trackie – Louise Moriarty (UCD/Team Swift Racing) – stamped her authority on all the titles, in a very well run and competitive championships.

Development Squad on Track

  The first coaching day for the Development Squad took place on the track in Sundrive Park last Saturday. Following accreditation under the guidance of track expert Hugh Byrne, the squad were coached through an interval session with top coach Paddy Doran.
