Rás na mBan – 2011 is the 25th Anniversary of Rás na mBan, plans are in place to make it a 5 day event! In 2010 Rás na mBan was voted competitive event of the year in the Cycling Ireland membership awards – this was the 2nd year that Rás na mBan secured this award!

What: Ireland’s only International Women’s Stage Race, incorporated into a weekend of celebrations, including races for the kids. Sneem’s “Festival of Women’s Cycling” will be 4 years running in 2011.

We would like to encourage Clubs throughout Ireland to enter riders in teams as they are guaranteed to enjoy the racing, regardless of their level.
Great to see the race becoming a 5 day event! The Ulster riders are looking forward to it already and there was plenty of talk over the weekend with the Sandy Wallace Racing Team about it. We also talked about them coming over to do the Donegal Ras as well…be great to get a large group of girls together to tackle it and show the men how it’s done…well some of them!
