Fancy racing in the Celtic Chrono? Each province will be represented at this international Time Trial in Belfast in May. Trials for the two Leinster positions will take place this Saturday in Batterstown. Sign on for the event will take place at 10am, with the first racer off at 11/11.01. If you are interested in competing you must be in possession of a Restricted TT licence at the minimum, or a Full Competition Licence. No One Day Licences can be purchased on the day. Word has it that today Emily Birchill spent all day in a breakaway group, and unconfirmed as of yet, but we believe she may have got 7th in the race. It has been announced that Cycling Leinster will select two riders to race in the Celtic Chrono, the international TT held in Belfast on the 13th May. In order to select the riders Cycling Leinster will hold a time trial to select the two riders. This will be a great opportunity to test your TT skills against the top local cyclists, and be in with a chance to race in the Celtic Chrono. (more…)

Alan is a peak performance consultant, and spoke at the recent Pedal Fever Conference run by the coaching section of Cycling Ireland. This summer will see an exciting venture in Women’s Cycling with Northern Ireland hosting a women’s UCI 1.1 Time Trial around Belfast City.
