    Hi,

Can anyone offer some advice on buying a first mountain bike? I’m looking at various Specialized models at the moment. Any men I have asked have said to go for a men’s bike as they have better components. I’m inclined to think I should go for a women’s model as I am 5ft 3. I haven’t been able to test ride a women’s model such as the Myka HT as the shops I have tried don’t have them in the show room.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
