One Day Training Camp – Mullingar 10th March 2012
This will be a fully coached camp catering for all levels of female cyclists, from beginners to experienced competitors. The attendees will be split into suitable groups based on ability, and the training spins will vary in distance and focus. It was a great opportunity for the competitive riders to come together for a weekend last year so we hope to see you again this year.

If anyone is interested in running a women’s league we can offer advice and guidance. We would especially like to see one in Munster and Connaught. Please contact queries@womenscycling.ie if interested.

good idea heather to put the calendar up – good on you!
well done, Heather. It’s good to have somewhere with all the dates.
Do you know if people meet somewhere (like the GPO for the Boot) to go to the Wicklow Beginner League?
Thanks.
Glad y’all like the dates together – hopefully we’ll have a few more to add later on in the season.
Regarding the Wicklow League, it takes place in Ashford, which is roughly 2 hours on the bike, so most people tend to drive out – unless they are based in the area. Perhaps closer to the time interested people might do some car pooling from Dublin to get there… hopefully by then our new website will be up and running, so that could be organised on a forum!
Hi Heather,
Please can you put details of the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association (I.V.C.A.) race calendar on your website.
The I.V.C.A. race calendar is now available to view our website at http://www.ivca.info, details of the first 4 races are as follows:-
March 29 – DMS 60km(approx 37 miles) Batterstown 9.15am
April 5 – CP 70km(approx 44 miles) Kentstown 9.15am
12 – DMS 80km(approx 50 miles) Summerhill 9.15am
19 – CP 80km(approx 50 miles) Dick O’Brien Batterstown 9.15am
Female participation in IVCA races is open to all women who are 35 (thirty five) or older i.e. born in 1974 or prior and hold a racing licence with the I.V.C.A. or Cycling Ireland. All our races are handicapped based on ability.
Thanks
Kind regards
Paul
PS If anybody wishes further details please feel free to contact me at paul.deans@bif.ie
thanks for putting al that up Heather. Can you put up some details of the national champs race aswell…if you have any!ta.fiona
I added a few more races there, Fi.. I can’t find details of the National TT anywhere – but will put it in when I get it. The RR will be different to the past few years – won’t be so hilly – more rolly.. so I imagine it’ll be fast – probably tactical racing..
thanks for that Heather.sound!
