Everyone interested in doing the women’s Dublin City Centre crit on the 19th June is invited to a training session with Paddy Doran on Monday 14th June, in the Phoenix Park. Meeting at the papal cross at 7pm… c’mon everyone – let’s get the numbers up for this crit and put women’s cycling on the map!
Just a reminder that the Wicklow League begins tomorrow evening, sign on from 6.50pmwith the first rider off at 7.30pm. The TT will take in just over 2 laps of the race circuit, a distance of about 11km. (more…)

The current ranking is now here. After three rounds of the National League the joint leaders are Fiona Guihan (Navan) and Jenny McCauley (Bray). The Womens Commission are proud to present an all-new National Team Series of events for 2010. This is a first for this kind of competition in Irish womens cycling and hopefully will encourage you all to get a gang together and try for a team prize! Ireland’s top female rider, Siobhan Dervan, has placed 25th in the Chinese World Cup race. This was a super result for the Cork based Galway girl in the race won by HTC Columbia’s Ina-Yoko Teutenberg. Round 3 of the Mountainbike National Points series of races takes place this weekend in Lady Dixon Park on the outskirts of Belfast, on what promises to be a fast circuit. As always women riders are in short supply so ladies, stop procrastinating and get the finger out, give it a bash! You never know you might even win a prize! Another successful race in the Orwell Women’s Crit League, thanks to Aideen and her crew, and to sponsors Wheelworx. The A race was won in style by Monica Marconi (HJ Lyons and Partners) and the B Race was taken by Bray’s Eithne Ní Cinnéide.
