A women’s track day will be held at the Sundrive Park on the 8th of May, lead by Hugh Byrne and the track commission. The training day will give riders a taste of all the skills involved in track riding, and promises to be a great day. There will be track skills, bumping skills on the grass, and some mock racing.

Eamonn Ceannt Stadium – Sundrive Road
Saturday 8th May
Sign on 13.30 for 2pm start.
Hire bikes available €5
Day will include extended warm up, refresher of track skills for those we haven’t seen for a while, drills, standing starts, timed efforts, derny pacing and some mock racing. No accreditations on the day but those wishing to take part will have an ooportunity to do their accreditation on either of the previuos two Saturdays. We in the Track Commission would hope to see all our regulars, also those who may have done an accreditation and not followed it up, and also our more experienced women track riders. Last year we saw huge improvemnets in the standard of womens track racing at all levels and we also saw our riders compete on a par against international opposition and would very much like to see this trend continue.
