REMINDER: Round 3 of the Boot Inn women’s league will take place on Wednesday – sign on at 6.30pm at the boot inn, with race kicking off at 7pm sharp. Hosted by Ravens CRT, this will be a 4 lap race of the 5 mile, relatively flat circuit. This race is suitable for female riders of all levels, from beginner to elite – as a headstart will be given to weaker or less experienced riders. Directions HERE

After 4 rounds of the ulster womens league the points are as follows…..
Another great turn out for Round 4 of the Ulster Womens League and fantastic weather into the bargain!
* This is round 2 of the 2009 Boot Inn Beginner League which will run every week for the next 4 weeks.
* It is 4 laps of a 5 mile flat circuit and open to all ages and abilities
* This Wed, a qualified coach will be assigned to each group. As it’s a handicapped league, riders will assigned to groups based on fitness/experience.
* It’s a very positive league and a great opportunity to experience racing at a beginner level
* There is a 5euro entry fee. Riders must have a Cycling Ireland licence – a one day licence can be purchased on the night
* Prize Money awarded after each event
* Meet at the GPO, O’Connell St. at 17:50 to cycle out
Eleven women signed on depsite very blustery conditons to take part in round 3 of the ulster womens league, a 10 miles time trial at Woodgreen.

Following a great turn out at the first meeting for the Ulster Women’s Association’s MTB Group – it has been decided that there will be a fortnightly spin based in Belfast, which will be run for the rest of the summer. Mountain Bike coach, Ciara McManus, is the MTB rep on the Ulster Women’s Association. Full details on the cycling ulster website HERE
