Round 7 of the Boot Inn League was a 10 mile TT. Orwell’s Orla Hendron recorded the fastest time (23.51). The handicapped system ensured that the top 6 included riders from scratch, limit and semi-scratch. (more…)

Round 3 of the Wicklow League takes place next Tues 22nd July. Wicklow’s answer to the Boot Inn League is proving to be a popular and successful venture, thanks to the help of Bray Wheelers. We are hoping to replicate this league around the country in the coming seasons… (more…)

Siobhan Dervan and Louise Moriarty produced top performances in the Tour de Bretagne Féminine this weekend. The two Irish riders finished 21st and 34th respectively, within minutes of overall GC winner Emma Pooley from the GB team. Full results can be found on the cycling news website here . Top Mountain biker, Beth McCluskey,  and her teammates Paul Mahon and Gery Lawlor were the first to cross the line in the epic adventure race, the clec. The trio finished the race in just under 5 hours. Read on for Beth’s report on the event. (more…)

This season the Women’s Commission have selected a team of Junior Women to race in Paderborn, Germany. The team will race in Junior races in Belgium on the 23rd and 24th August, and will travel to the Junior races in Paderborn the following week.

Round 6 of the Boot Inn League takes place on the 16th July. We are having difficulties getting marshals for tonights race… please can everyone ask friends/boyfriends/people they pass on the street to come along… it would be a pity to have to get the riders to marshal instead of racing….

Some pics from the easy mtb spin up in Kiltiernan, 13 women came along on a beautiful warm evening to taste the wonderful trails, all agreed they were great and left us wanting more! Next spin will be in two weeks time, but on tuesday evening instead of monday (as it is a bank holiday). We will meet at Djouce woods, directions will be posted nearer the time. (more…)
