hi!
Can you advise a little about licences for those who hope to do more than two or three races - i.e. what is the best option if you dont want to be buying a one day licence every week but you are not in a club? I have read the page to do with the licences but cant really tell which one I will need.
Thanks!

The cycle out, from the GPO, takes around 45 min. We don't cycle too hard, but it means we are nicely loosened out to race.

If you are able to cycle for 20 miles, and are looking to improve your fitness - this is perfect for you. The races are worked in a handicapped manner - whereby the slower or less experienced girls head off first, with a time gap to the next group and so on. The idea is that the last group to start (with members of the Development Squad and similar standard) is trying to catch the groups in front of them. The rest of the groups are aiming to hold their lead. Last year this lead to some very exciting finishes - with the groups coming together coming into the line. You'll love it - and it's an exciting, fun way to improve your basic fitness!!

The women racing are lucky to have these races - as they are an ideal environment to learn good skills at an early stage!!!

Pity there isn't a beginner league for men - i'd say it'd be a very popular event. The open races can be very hard for a new person getting
in to racing.

Hi,
I've just bought a bike and am interested in trying racing - I've done on average 20mile spins but have never raced -
do you think the Boot Inn would be good for me? I'm hoping to improve my fitness over the summer months but don't want
to kill myself either.
thanks
