This Sunday, 21st Feb is the first of 3 mtb races being run for beginners, and will be held in Ballinastoe woods in Wicklow. These races are designed for people who have never raced before, and are an introduction to cross-country (xc) racing. The Off-road Commission and Richie Byrne of Epic are organising the events and are hoping specifically to attract women into racing, as well as youth riders, so if you have ever wondered what a race will be like, or have not known how to start, this is your opportunity! More details here.
