The 2018 Women’s Racing Calendar will be updated soon, to reflect the addition of new races, date changes etc.
We’ll bring you details of all the National League races for women throughout the year, including open races that plan to run separate women’s races, as well as the open races that aren’t currently planning to run separate women’s races but may if numbers signing on are sufficient.
You’ll also find details of the Tuesday evening Corkagh Park Series.
- The Corkagh Park Series are held on Tuesday nights during the summer. They will cater for beginners and experienced racers alike. Corkagh Park in West Dublin has a closed cycling track of about 1km in length. If you are keen to try racing for the first time make sure to check out these leagues.
- The National League is a series of seven races. Each race in the National League will be run in conjunction with an open racing event but there will be a separate women only race. These races are longer races run on open roads but they are another chance to race exclusively against other women.
- Open Races are run throughout the country almost every weekend of the summer. Some of these open races will have separate women’s races, subject to enough women turning up. You’ll find details below of races that have confirmed they will have separate women’s races. We’ve also listed the open races that probably won’t have a separate women’s race but are still likely to attract a number of women who will race against the men at the A3 or A4 categories. They can provide excellent training opportunities and race organisers sometimes offer women’s prizes.
***Please note some race organisers have still to confirm whether or not they’ll run separate women’s races. Throughout the year more races are likely to be added, so please check back regularly to find out more.***
