The First Elite National Championships of 2019 takes place at Sundrive Velodrome this Saturday (June 16th).
Defending Champion Lydia Boylan (Un-Attached Leinster) will be the favourite In what is regarded as one of the toughest events on the Track Calendar .
She will face opposition from the Sundrive Track Team trio, with National Team Pursuit Champion Jennifer Neenan and new signing Claire Ní Reachtagáin (Former Irish National Track Team) sure to go into the final event with a chance of an overall victory.
Arcane Women’s Team have also entered three riders, with former Silver & Bronze Omnium Medallist Róisín Kennedy leading a new lineup into the race.
Dublin Wheelers have sent their two experienced endurance Track women to the event. Lyndsey Bryce could prove dangerous over a long day, and she can sprint.
Orla Hendron is the sole Orwell entry, and she will hope to add to her many podium finishes in this years Nationals.
The National Omnium Championships is a race that favours the brave, and we are looking forward to the battle ahead.
